First Home Game This Friday 9/16

This Friday is our first football game. We will be wearing uniforms and wearing our new marching shoes and black socks. Our call-time is 6:00PM, which means the kids need to be dressed and ready for warm-up by 6PM. Students should arrive around 5:30 to start getting ready. This will be the same for each game. For those of you that are new to high school activities, the football game typically gets over around 9:30, but that time is never the same based on the uncertainty of what happens in the game. I always tell the kids to call or text their ride when we are getting ready to head back to the band room to change out of our uniforms. Students will most likely be ready to walk out the door 20 minutes after the call/text.
Pinnacle Football is partnering with Packages From Home! If you can, please bring any food and/or hygiene item donation with you to the September 16th game and place them in the labeled boxes at the entrances to the stadium.

Band Photo and Competition Committee Meeting

Sorry for the late notice, but band pictures will be taken before practice this Thursday (tomorrow). Please have your band member there at 5pm to dress into their uniform.

There will also be a meeting of the Competition Committee to talk about plans for the Competition Pinnacle will be hosting on October 15th.

Uniform Fittings Next Week

Uniform fittings will take place on Monday 8/15 at 5:00pm for Juniors and Seniors, we will also take senior pictures after they are fitted.

Thurday 8/18 at 5:00pm will be the fittings for Sophmore and Freshman Band members.

Food Truck Night on November 9th with The Fry Bread Truck!

On Tuesday 11/09/21 the tasty Fry Bread Truck will be at Pinnacle from 4:30pm until 7:30pm serving up fry bread in all kinds of different ways!  Come early, order some food, and a portion of the proceeds will go to support PHS Band Boosters and the band!

Senior Night family photo instructions!

To commemorate Senior Night, the Berg family has generously agreed to take photos of each senior with their families before the game this Friday. Please arrive at 4:45pm in the band room where seniors will change into their uniform and the photo shoot will commence. Be sure to come with photo hair and make up already done. 

Photos will also be taken during the halftime recognition ceremony and also immediately following the halftime performance by the senior banners near the snack bar.

We’re looking forward to a great night of recognizing our Seniors and making memories!

Food Truck Night on October 14th with Queso Good!

Congratuations Pinnacle Big Blue Band for earning 3rd place!

Pinnacle Big Blue Band travelled to their first AzMBA competition event at Canyon View High School on Saturday. Their performance earned a score of 57.862 which was good for 3rd place in 2A overall. Great start to the season everyone! See you at the next competition!

The Big Blue Band calendar previously listed a competition on October 2nd at Highland HS. This competition is still going on, but Pinnacle is not competing at it.  Our first competition is October 9th at Canyon View HS. Be on the lookout for lots of information regarding this event as we get closer.

Submit your Marching Band Season Order Form ASAP for shirts, shoes, gloves, etc

Please fill out and submit the 2021-22 Marching Band Season Order Form as soon as possible. This form allows you to indicate what size shirt, gloves and shoes are needed for each band member so we can order the correct quantities.

Band Boosters 2021-2022 Budget Vote is Friday Night

Parent Performance Friday Night 8/6 at 8pm

Wednesday is Chick-Fil-A Night for all Big Blue Band members

Kids are being served Chick-Fil-A at the beginning of practice Wednesday night for dinner so no need to feed them before they come. If you can’t eat this, please bring a sack dinner.

 

Freshman Camp Performance

This Friday the Big Blue Band has been asked to perform music for freshmen camp as they arrive in the morning. The performance will last between 7:15AM-7:45AM. They band will be playing the pep songs they have been working on. It’ll be great to play for an audience again! Once finished, upperclassmen are free to go and freshmen will then go to freshmen camp.
